STANBIC IBTC TOWERS

CORPORATE HEADOFFICE

The brief called for a human-centric space that reflected the company’s commitment to driving growth in Africa. The building houses two related business entities in separate towers, sharing a multi-volume atrium on the ground floor. They have separate entrances which are visually and spatially defined, creating a balanced and dynamic whole on the ground floor. Natural materials such as timber, stone, local art and indoor plants infuse the common areas with warmth and vitality. The first and second floors feature meeting suites, agile workspaces, training rooms, and waiting areas, while the third floor offers lifestyle amenities like a gym, wellness centre and crèche. Above this level, each business entity occupies a separate tower. The interiors are designed to support the fast-paced, energetic nature of the work environment, combining stimulating areas with tranquil focus spaces. Office floors are characterised by activated collaborative atrium edges, a central pause area, and private focus zones. Agile workspaces are balanced with social interaction and collaboration spaces, all designed with vibrant colours to enhance activity and legibility within the floorplate. The design integrates the building’s architectural language and incorporates the distinctive 27˚  angle of the Standard Bank Group’s logo through angular lines and colour blocking.
