FUTUREGROWTH ASSET MANAGEMENT

CORPORATE OFFICES

n the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cape Town-based investment firm Futuregrowth required a redesign of their existing offices in the iconic Great Westerford building in Rondebosch, a modernised heritage structure with parts dating back to the late 1800s. The project aimed to encourage a return to office life following the widespread shift to remote working. It also involved revitalising the interiors to reflect new corporate branding that the company had introduced while embracing contemporary workplace strategies to foster a more agile and collaborative environment. With strategic spending in mind, the project incorporated a variety of collaborative work settings within the open-plan workspace integrating the company’s bold new colour palette, while existing furniture was refurbished and reused. Focus rooms were added alongside these areas to cater to the growing need for private online meetings. The ceiling, featuring open coffered slabs, was treated with suspended acoustic ceiling baffles to improve sound performance. The reception area was redesigned to offer a warm welcome, and a new staff café and breakout space opening onto a refreshed terrace, complete with a new pergola, now offer staff the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor space and garden views.
